More Visions

The registered agent for Visions is Franz Zibilich, a rather unsavory assistant city attorney well known for representing the defendants in the Danziger Bridge killings and the Davis police brutality case. He also represented the city against citizens who lost their homes via the city's embarrassing private demolition racket.

I guess we can find all of our friends at 4000 Downman Road.

Jeez.

Registered agent means that is the person who is served with a citation or summons if a lawsuit is filed against a registered company, or a subpoena if documents or testimony is sought from the company. Most companies appoint a company principal, an attorney kept of retainer by the company, or a corporate mailbox-type service as their registered agent. It's not a great leap to assume that Zibilich is counsel for the owners of Visions.

I think most city attorneys are prohibited from representing private clients, but I've noticed that Zibilich's title per the City Directory is "Associate City Attorney," instead of Deputy or Assistant City Attorney like the rest of the staff lawyers. He may have somewhat of an "open relationship" with the City, if you will.

Where I found the "associate" label:

Also, just to clarify, the registered agent is just someone listed on the form provided to the Louisiana Secretary of State to create a legal entity. The fact that someone is listed isn't in itself proof of any relationship.

Right that's an interesting observation...

i went there for a bachelor party when it was named the candy club. nasty (in a good way) place. most of the dancers would flash their nauty bits and personal services were available. if meffert was dropping that kind of money, bodily fluids were exchanged.

Just because an attorney happens to get assigned to represent unpopular city defendants, doesn't especially mean anything, except possibly that the City Attorney doesn't like him. .
