We touched

It was a privilege to have been able to see the President speak today. I took pictures. They'll be up after the Phillies game.

In other news, I won't be washing my right hand any time soon, my seasonal allergies are gone, and I don't need my glasses anymore.

Strange.

Eli smiled like the happy-go-lucky NE liberal he is after they shook hands. That made his afternoon

That man is a President. A real President.

I bet it made his week.

I think it'll probably end up making my month.

You were impressed with his visit? I thought it was too short.

Seriously MLK charter again? (This is where everyone goes when they come to town, kinda making it a cliche.)

The town hall seemed scripted, especially the kid at the end, and had little to do with Katrina issues. As a voter of his, I give the visit maybe a 5 out of 10.

I'm not sure how I'd rate his visit. I personally got a lot out of it but beyond that it may have been a bit of a mixed bag. I've got pictures and I'll collect my thoughts in a separate post for later today.
